Designing for this label
Artwork is drawn at this shape rather than resized into it. A round lid is not a square design cropped, and a bag face is not a jar label scaled up: the composition has to be built for the proportion it will be printed at, or the name ends up cut in half at the trim.
The export places the artwork inside this die-line with the bleed above already allowed for, so the PDF is ready for an ordinary inkjet or laser printer with nothing to line up by hand.
Printing it
The export lays 48 labels out on a Letter page at the exact pitch above, so a sheet of blanks feeds straight through an ordinary inkjet or laser printer. Print at 100% with page scaling off — "fit to page" shrinks the artwork by a few percent and every label on the sheet drifts off its die-line.
